I am the Director of Systems Integration for SecureNation and a Retired Veteran of the United States Air Force (USAF). I spent the first half of my career as an Enterprise Cyber Security Operator for the Air Forces premier Network Security Operations Center. There I performed enterprise vulnerability assessment duties, security evaluation and assessment, system auditing, protected them from internal/external threats and designed and managed proxies, firewalls, storage, and infrastructure security solutions.
I was then trained as a Cyber Warfare Operator and became an Offensive Capability Developer and Team Lead for 80 developers. I developed offensive capabilities software in multiple languages and against varied technologies. I then served as the Superintendent of Operations where I managed operations for six flights & 223 cyber development personnel.
For my last four years in the service I was first a Senior Cyberspace Strategist for global USAF cyber operations where I led Joint operational planning for offensive, defensive, hunt, and maintenance operations. I developed and managed operations and strategies that directed performance, ensured compliance, assessed risk, troubleshot/resolved enterprise network and telecommunications issues, and managed remote teams that performed those operations. Second, and last, I server as the Director of Cyber Warfare Operations training and taught offensive cyber operations, malware/forensics, compliance, hunt operations, and Linux.
In the year since retirement, I managed the first phase of a new Small Business Cyber Security Operations Center, stood up the first Small Business Supply Chain Information Sharing and Analysis Organization in Louisiana, and forged partnerships with businesses around the globe.
I am here for you. Let me know the issues you are facing. I will put in the research hours for you, and everyone who comes to the CISO Corner. Next week, I will have the first true CISO corner. You will get your CISO fix every Monday morning. See you then!
